In spring of '99 I tried river rafting.
In spring of '98 I visited the big island of Hawaii staying at Hilton Waikoloa Village.
In summer of '97 I drove through North Cascades to Glacier, then up to Banff/Lake Louise and Jasper (and also Mt. Rainier).
Early in '97 I drove along the coast south and north of San Francisco CA, and toured the wine country. Big Sur, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Robert Mondavi Winery, Korbel winery, Avenue of the Giants, etc.
In December '96 I went to Washington DC.
For the couple weeks before Labor Day '96, I made a quick trip through various parks of the West. I drove my Toyota RAV4 and stayed in motels. I went to Oregon Caves, Redwood National Park, Cape Mendocino, Santa Rosa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Jose, Yosemite, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Four Corners, Boulder, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Park. In mid-'96 I went to Honolulu HI, stayed at Waikiki Beach, climbed Diamond Head, and visited the Arizona memorial.
